Young Archers take gold at
state

The
Colin Winter, setting two new
state records, Christopher Zumwalt and Gabe Ross of the Nevada County Gold JOAD
(Junior Olympic Archery Development) team hit gold at the SAC (State Archers of
California) Indoor Championships held in Tulare on Jan. 13-14.
The two-day event was preceded on Jan. 12 by a SAC JOAD
championship event where Winter also won a second
place and teammate Gemma Goepel won a third in their respective divisions. Four
members of the team, Winter, Zumwalt, Goepel and
Trelaina Borges competed in a JOAD team event against ten other teams and took
a third place.
